Commercial Description:
Originally brewed by Mikkeller, Denmark. Recent batch brewed by Mikkeller at De Proef Brouwerij, Lochristi-Hijfte, Belgium.
The third in the series of single hop IPAs from Mikkeller. Brewed with Cascade, a true American classic hop type. This hop is less powerful than the ones used in the previous two single hop IPAs - creating a great balance with the beers other aspects.
Ingredients : Water, malts (pilsner, cara-crystal and munich), hops (cascade) and yeast.

Bottle thanks to BMan1113VR. Looks great. Deep ruby color with a medium to large sized foamy canvas colored head. Nose is sunscreen, a little bit of sweat and the pith of a pink grapefruit. Taste is white grapefruit juice, a little bit of brown sugar, and some roasted notes. Bitter mouthfeel that is thinner yet refreshing. I am sure this beer is increasingly impressive based on freshness.

Pours a hazy golden amber/copper color with a two finger frothy off-white head with good retention that slowly fades into lasting cap. Sporadic chunks of soapy lacing cling to glass. Crisp floral citrus hop nose with medicinal cough syrup notes. Light and dark fruit notes(cherry, raisin, plum) and slight alcohol astringency. Not very pleasant at all. Slightly bitter up front with earthy/floral hops with a slight citrus touch. Weird spiciness that I can’t quite figure out and a the unpleasant medicinal notes from the aroma are very prominent. Syrupy mouthfeel with alcohol astringency with fruity notes of dark cherries, plum, raisin and fig. There are way too many flavors going on here, most of which take away from the pleasantness of the hops. Serving type: bottle

330ml bottle, bright amber-orangeish color, with a big fluffy beige head, leaving some lacing, nice piney, peachy, orange peel, oily citrusy hop nose, with some light cedary, coniferous, piney accents, with some faint caramel, toasty, malt, cookie dough notes, with a light spicy aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a sweet toasted, caramelized malt, fruity, orange peel, apricot flowery hop character, with some leafy, piney, coniferous flavors, with a hint of peppery mintiness, leading towards a peachy, oily hop, leafy menthol bitterness finish.

Bottle. poured a dark golden amber, with a small head. Mildly sweet hop nose. A creamy mouthful leads to a nicely bittered ipa. I tend to like the malt base from these guys, and the american hops are a nice twist. It is pretty well balanced with a nice firm bitter but slightly acidic finish.

My Bottom Line:
This fluffy IPA’s floral and citrus hop character blooms into resinous and leafy bitterness for a well-hopped example of the style.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam floats atop the dull cloudiness of the orangey amber.
-The effervescence might be a little too much for what I like in the style.
-The finishing bitterness is firm yet not that long.
-The malts contribute straightforward but timid caramel flavors.

Bottle.

Copper pour with a huge, rocky, white head. Sharp citrus and ammonia nose with some fresh cut grass, dry earthy malt, and wet leather. Very acidic ,sharp bitterness with some grapefruit, resiny pine, mint. Little malt prescence. It’s there but just sort of faintly lingers in the background. The body is a very dry medium mouth feel with loads of carbonation. Just not much balance in this one.
