| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 9, 2009 Pour is deep cloudy copper-brown with large off-white head. Aroma is earthy hops, sweet malt, distantly pine hop, spicy, and woody. Smells belgian. Flavor is pine and resin hop. Bitter and bold with a light malt background. Distant champagne and wood flavor in finish. It’s not a clean beer, but I really like it. The hop flavor is somewhat harsh and imposing yet not displeasing. Unfortunately this was the last one on the shelf; glad I grabbed it. KimJohansen (7128), Copenhagen V, Denmark
