Commercial Description:
Originally brewed by Mikkeller, Denmark. Recent batch brewed by Mikkeller at De Proef Brouwerij, Lochristi-Hijfte, Belgium.
The third in the series of single hop IPAs from Mikkeller. Brewed with Cascade, a true American classic hop type. This hop is less powerful than the ones used in the previous two single hop IPAs - creating a great balance with the beers other aspects.
Ingredients : Water, malts (pilsner, cara-crystal and munich), hops (cascade) and yeast.

33cl bottle in the hotel, reading "liar’s poker" , crete. rethymno. amber, large thick offwhite head. aroma is pine, grapefruit, faint flowers, sweetness as honey and syrup. flavor is pine, grapefruit, bitterness, grassy sweetness, ends grapefruity bitter. apart from the much hops dominated flavor, i get a malty sweetness for balance. i love these single hop thingies, a good experiment and quite educational.

Bottle from Jubilation. Thick Belgian hop quality in the nose, like a Chouffe H.D. Same hops and crisp yeast in flavor, with nicely cereal, biscuit, and crisp maltiness to balance.

medium sized offwhite head, retention is good as is the laceing. Clear, gold color. Mild nose of citrusy hops and caramel malts. Medium body, aggressive carbonation, resiny. Nice hop flavors, juicey, citrusy, lightly floral with notes of bubble gum and pineapple. Fairly dry bitter, inky finish. Tastey. Bottle procured @statelineliquors.

Pour is deep cloudy copper-brown with large off-white head. Aroma is earthy hops, sweet malt, distantly pine hop, spicy, and woody. Smells belgian. Flavor is pine and resin hop. Bitter and bold with a light malt background. Distant champagne and wood flavor in finish. It’s not a clean beer, but I really like it. The hop flavor is somewhat harsh and imposing yet not displeasing. Unfortunately this was the last one on the shelf; glad I grabbed it.

330ml Bottle: Aroma of hops, light soap, slight pine, light citrus, grains, toasted malts, and some Earthiness. Poured orange in color with a large, creamy, rocky, off-white head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Not sparkling. Full of minuscule particles throughout. Good lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and medium bitter. Tastes of Cascade hops, slight soap, pine, citrus, resin, slight toasted malts, and grains. Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Slightly soapy, hoppy, bitter, toasted malt finish is lightly dry.

courtesy of fiulijn - cloudy dark reddish-orange colour with a little slightly beige foam; solid fruity hoppy nose (apricot and peach), highly carbonated, medium to full-bodied, very fruity bitter hoppy finish - very pleasant though quite one-dimensional
