Commercial Description:
Originally brewed by Mikkeller, Denmark. Recent batch brewed by Mikkeller at De Proef Brouwerij, Lochristi-Hijfte, Belgium.
The third in the series of single hop IPAs from Mikkeller. Brewed with Cascade, a true American classic hop type. This hop is less powerful than the ones used in the previous two single hop IPAs - creating a great balance with the beers other aspects.
Ingredients : Water, malts (pilsner, cara-crystal and munich), hops (cascade) and yeast.

Bottle. Poured amber with a off white head. Aroma is piney and hoppy with a nice hint of fruit. Flavor was full of bitterness complimented by a piney flavor. Quite enjoyable.

Bottle, 33cl. Pours a orange beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is hoppy (citrus, cascade). The flavor is clearly hops, with all the characteristics from cascadehops, with both citrus and grapefruit. The palate gives a good hoppy bitterness, and overall this is a very good IPA, and a good example of single hop beer.

11.2oz bottle, served in a shaker. This one poured an amber hue with a light haze and a two-finger thick head of lasting beige foam. Nice, even rings of lace were left around the glass. The aroma included fresh tangerines, peach, pine cones, and some light caramel. The flavor had crisp pine, mildly bitter orange, and some sturdy caramel. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and had light carbonation. The aroma was definately better than the flavor on this one, but it was still nice.

It is hazy, dark orange and the head is huge and creamy. The aroma has notes of grapefruit, oranges and caramel. The flavour has a light sweetness and it is very aromatic with notes of citrus, mostly grapefruit and the orange-colored varieties, malt and delicious caramel. It is very harmonic and nice.

Bottle from SL. Poured into a snifter... Dry yeasty aroma. Redish orange in color, nice head. Malty and citrus taste. Nice fruity after taste. Nicely balanced overall... Medium carbonation level. Good beer... Side note this was sampled with mikkellers warrior and simcoe ipa... side by side... and imo was the best one overall..

Thanks to bvc for picking this bottle up in PDX for me. 100th rate of this beer. Fuck Yeah ho! Aroma of pine initially. Grapefruit rinds kick in. Under the hop nose is a good amount of sweet malty notes. Becomes rather fruity on the nose. Pours amber orange with a great head and awesome lacing. Very fruity IPA. The malt base is moderately sweet and the hops are fruity and pretty bitter. The Cascade hops gave notes initially of pine which turned into a citrus rind bitterness - like chewing on orange peel or grapefruit peel citrus bitterness that lingered for a long time. It might have been a little too sweet for me, but I loved the hop profile and the lingering resiny bitterness.

Bottle thanks to mes, at mes’s gaff. Alround rating: Plasticy, pine, grapefurit, sweeter pale malts, belgian yeast. The hop character doesnt seem to have liked the yeast too much and has given it a synthetic taste, but its still quite drinkable stuff.

Not as good as the Simcoe, but very tasty. Intense candied orange, super aromatic. Belgian nuances. I like it. A lot.
