| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 11, 2009 Bottle, 33cl. Pours a orange beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is hoppy (citrus, cascade). The flavor is clearly hops, with all the characteristics from cascadehops, with both citrus and grapefruit. The palate gives a good hoppy bitterness, and overall this is a very good IPA, and a good example of single hop beer. MoDog (927), Griffith, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 10, 2009 11.2oz bottle, served in a shaker. This one poured an amber hue with a light haze and a two-finger thick head of lasting beige foam. Nice, even rings of lace were left around the glass. The aroma included fresh tangerines, peach, pine cones, and some light caramel. The flavor had crisp pine, mildly bitter orange, and some sturdy caramel. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and had light carbonation. The aroma was definately better than the flavor on this one, but it was still nice. Maria (6286), Thisted, Denmark
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 8, 2009 It is hazy, dark orange and the head is huge and creamy. The aroma has notes of grapefruit, oranges and caramel. The flavour has a light sweetness and it is very aromatic with notes of citrus, mostly grapefruit and the orange-colored varieties, malt and delicious caramel. It is very harmonic and nice. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 7, 2009 Bottle from SL. Poured into a snifter... Dry yeasty aroma. Redish orange in color, nice head. Malty and citrus taste. Nice fruity after taste. Nicely balanced overall... Medium carbonation level. Good beer... Side note this was sampled with mikkellers warrior and simcoe ipa... side by side... and imo was the best one overall.. riversideAK (2745), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 6, 2009 Thanks to bvc for picking this bottle up in PDX for me. 100th rate of this beer. Fuck Yeah ho! Aroma of pine initially. Grapefruit rinds kick in. Under the hop nose is a good amount of sweet malty notes. Becomes rather fruity on the nose. Pours amber orange with a great head and awesome lacing. Very fruity IPA. The malt base is moderately sweet and the hops are fruity and pretty bitter. The Cascade hops gave notes initially of pine which turned into a citrus rind bitterness - like chewing on orange peel or grapefruit peel citrus bitterness that lingered for a long time. It might have been a little too sweet for me, but I loved the hop profile and the lingering resiny bitterness. Magicdave6 (5546), London, Greater London, England
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 3, 2009 Bottle thanks to mes, at mes’s gaff. Alround rating: Plasticy, pine, grapefurit, sweeter pale malts, belgian yeast. The hop character doesnt seem to have liked the yeast too much and has given it a synthetic taste, but its still quite drinkable stuff. WinoInTraining (107), Longmont, Colorado, USA
