Berry fruit later (well spotted Dom). Caramel malt at the centre of this beer but everything hangs of it really nicely. It’s clean, it’s bitter, it’s fruity, it’s balanced. Strong character. Much better use of Sauvin than I’m seeing out of NZ berweries... so far. Good boys. AmEricanbrew (1828), bankrupt socialistwelfare state, Washington DC, USA

Minty black currant aroma. Mid-sweet and medium bodied. Uncomplicated malt acting as support to the minty black currant hops. Lasting but unassaulting bitterness. Great IPA! I used to work at Calloway’s Nursery, and it’s about right on the aroma. Tastes like stale fruit and grain. Maybe some hops in the finish. TEJA (288), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 24, 2009 Bottle at Halvfräck panna. High fluffy beige head. Fresh grapefruit aroma with passionfruit and a small sulphur note. The taste is plesant smooth for an IPA with just a tuch of caramell. Well fermented with a good body and a smooth bitterness. The best of the single hop from Mikkeller. BeerChaser0078 (339), Melbourne, Australia
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 24, 2009 Bottle. Pours clear darkish amber with a big rocky white head leaving plenty of lace. The hoppy aroma is very nice and has notes of honey, caramel and pine. The flavour is fairly similar with honey and caramel as well as a bit of citrus. Medium bodied with a very smooth mouthfeel. Fairly sweet but far from sickly, this is a really good IPA, less aggressive than some, and shows off the particular hop variety nicely.
