Pros: Excellent look. Naturally carbonated. Nose has some serious hop power with the Nelson Sauvin showing its mandarin orange and tangerine character. It takes on more of a peach character on the palate. Not a very floral or piney hop to me, but quite fruity. Nice expression of the hop. Fun to taste.

Cons: While it is unquestionably well brewed, I don’t like the hop, at least as the sole element in the beer. The fruitiness of the hop became overbearing for my palate, but it’s cool to know that hops can get this fruity.

Bottle. A clear, copper-orange beer with a small, beige head on top. Apricots, dried I think, grapefruit, grass and some sweetish notes in the aroma. Some alcohol too, but just a faint note. The flavor continues what the aroma started, adding some sweetness even though it feels rather dry in the mouth. Good bitterness in the finish. Medium to full body, nice level of carbonation. A nice beer, but it might be challenging drinking much of it. 090925

Sampled on 12/12/2009. This IPA pours a medium to deep orange gold color from a 33cl bottle. Large sized white foamy head with good retention and nice lacing. The aroma is grapey, woody, fruity and malty. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are floral and grapelike. I still don’t have a grasp on this hop. I like it, but I am having trouble finding good descriptors. Its kind of floral and fruity, with some grape/wine like qualities. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

11.2oz bottle from Holiday Wine Cellars. Pours cloudy amber with a medium sized, creamy white head and good lace. Smells musty and pungent with a bot of floral hops. Tastes sweet and fruity hoppy, pungent and earthy as well. A little too musty for my liking. Medium body, vibrant carbonation.

A clear amber colored beer, with a thich foamy beige head. The aroma of hop bitter with fruits and vegetables. The taste is little sweet, with hop bitter and flavors of vegetables. The aftertaste of bitter hops and some spices.

33 cl bottle in Denmark. Hazy amber color, big off-white head. Aroma orange and spices - typical Nelson Sauvin. Flavor is malty and very hoppy; orange, spice. Very fine and nice bitterness in the finish.

Bottle. Pale yellow, a bit cloudy liquid with a rather large, white head. Aroma is a bit sweet and fruity with some fresh notes, but it also reminds quite a lot of a dirty urinal. Taste is sweet and sour in a weird way, with some fruitiness but mostly chemical notes of urin and detergent. This is not very good...
