Another Mikkeller beer drunk to celebrate a century, this time my rating number 12,800. I’ve had this several times both bottled and draft. A slightly hazy amber beer with a huge orangey head. The aroma is very sweet with strong spicy notes of hops, lending it notes of cinnamon and ginger as well as fruity notes of grapefruit. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of hops lending it notes of cinnamon, lime, pine needles, and other spices, leading to a bitter finish. Very refreshing. I just love the Nelson Sauvin hop.

On tap. Pours a slightly hazy golden with an off-white head leaving some lacework. Very spicy, fresh and berry-like nose. Medium body, light fruit notes and then again this fresh and berry-like hopping that leaves an almost smooth bitterness. Very interesting. 170509

From tap at Lord Nelson. Pours cloudy deep orange with a small off-white head. Sweet and grape fruit flavoured, sweet and fruity with a light juice like note. Sweet ad bittered flavoured. Light spice note on back of the tongue with a distinct sweet grape flavour initially. Dry and bitter finish with spiced and leathery lasting impression.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Hazy golden/amber, small head. Minty black currant aroma. Mid-sweet and medium bodied. Uncomplicated malt acting as support to the minty black currant hops. Lasting but unassaulting bitterness. Great IPA!

Draught at KØ09. The usual wet hop aroma. Clear dark golden colour. The usual Nelson hop flavour, but less unpleasant.
