| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Aug 9, 2009 Ordered from crackedkettle.com. Appearance: It pours a beautiful, slightly hazy copper beer with a tall creamy beige head leaving a beautfiul lacework. Fantastic aroma of gooseberries, (I usually associate this component with Tettnanger hops), sweat, a lot of mango, wild strawberries, pepper, vanilla, basil, hop resin, blood orange, lemon peel, rose, clotted cream and grapefruit- very impressive and mindblowingly inviting. Flavor and palate: Great hop profile with grapefruit, clotted cream, apricot, sweat, wild strawberries and lemon showing up. Good bitterness. Slight peppery elements sneaking in. Subtle carbonation. Long dry bitter finish which is reminiscent of apricot, lemon peel, faint licorice, clotted cream, wild straberries, light pepper and a huge amount of wonderful Nelson Sauvin hops. Overall impression: Fantastic, divine- I reveled in every sip. By far the best single hop IPA from Mikkeller I’ve had so far! Magicdave6 (5551), London, Greater London, England

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 15, 2009 Huge head. Almost overflowed when pouring. Attractive looking beer with copper body beneath. Earthy, flowery aroma with some oak tones. Smells a bit like the belgian tripel ipa type beer. This beer is yummy. Atypical to a normal IPA, this pushes the boundaries of the style to a new level. Very impressive beer and the best hoppy Mikkeller beer I’ve sampled. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 22, 2009 Pours dark straw with 2-finger fluffy off-white head. Nose is great, a medley of resiny hops, mango, tangerine, black pepper. Having been exposed to this hop during the Sly Fox varietal IPA endeavors, I was really lookinf forward to it here, and I was not disappointed. The flavor is rich, hoppy, resiny, with tangerine, pineapple, mango, and a fruity, hoppy, citric finish that makes me wish I had more. This one is fantastic, and if you gave the aroma score less than 9 then shame on you. planky84 (136), , Greater London, England
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Aug 27, 2009 Bottle from Beer Merchants. Pours a hazy brown/orange colour with a good long lasting head. Aromas of peaches, oranges, summer fruits. Good malty flavours with lighter citrus notes. The finish isn’t as hoppy as Mikkeller’s nugget or simcoe IPA’s, it has a much more gentler approach. Very nice mouthfeel all round. Top marks! Anker (309), Hillerød, Denmark

Wouw!
Pours clear copper, with a huge, long lasting, dense, beige head.
Aroma is fantastic! Sweet fruits dominated by passionfruit with notes of citrus, pine and hay.
Flavour is hops, grape and a little sweet and fruity with notes of pine and a long bitter aftertaste.
Great balanced.
I had to drink 2.

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 9, 2009 Pours deep amber into a shaker. Huge off-white head slowly recedes leaving craters. Sweet mango and honeysuckle aromas. Crisp and tropical upfront turning resinous yet sweet in the lasting finish. Very interesting. Fin (3455), Merton, Oxfordshire, England
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 20, 2009 Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam, consumed at Kemmel campsite, Belgium, 09-06-09 Had this in the Mikkeller Single Hop tasting with Nelson Sauvin, Warrior, Simcoe and Cascade all up for the taste off. This poured hazy amber which really was the case for all of them. Touch of perfume followed by tropical fruits, quite excellent. Glorious tasting, wonderful interplay between exotic fruitiness and sweetness, nice soft mouthfeel. There is a subdued bitterness, its a superb beer, totally sexy. Its like a little taste of a caribbean cocktail for some reason, stunner. A9 A4 F9 P4 Ov18 4.4
