Bottle. This beer is rockin, what’s wrong with y’all? Aroma of honey, papaya, melon, generally tropical, blending with soft malt notes. Flavor of juicy malt and loads of nectary, hoppy, tropical goodness. Though all quite excellent, this one particularly stood out to me as excellent and unique amongst the 4 Mikkeller Single Hops I’ve had.

Dec 24, 2009 The gang is trying these as we find them. It’s a nice experiment. Drunk , I mean drank with DrBayern, Celticbrew, Uncle Steve, and Brian the Beer Pimp.
Aroma was unremarkable. poured a dark yellow color and was clear. Head disipates to the edge of the glass. Mild hop flavor, with really good mouthfeel. THis one was OK.

Dec 18, 2009 Bottle. Pours a dirty brown with ruby grapefruit highlights and a medium to large creamy off white head. Nice clean pineapple note, some light dusty malt, and a bit of pine and caramel. Medium bodied and malty. Finishes with a light creamy grapefruit bitterness.

Dec 7, 2009 Bottle. Pale yellow, a bit cloudy liquid with a rather large, white head. Aroma is of hops, but also a not so nice note of toilet. Taste is very Belgian; the yeast and the hops come together in a citrusy fruitiness like a Belgian blonde or a hoppy wit. The bitterness is first a bit held back, but comes strongly in the finish.

Dec 7, 2009 330 ml bottle. Hazy amber orange colour, medium-sized off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange, pine and malts. The flavour is caramel-malty and has a long, dry, strong bitter hoppy finish with lemon and a hint of alcohol.

Dec 6, 2009 One thing I’ve definately come to realize is that Mikkeller makes amazing looking beer. Bottle pours a brilliant orange-red. The large, creamy white head has a slight orange tint and leaves some nice lacing. Aroma is fairly simply but definately shines, displaying notes of orange marmalade and pine resin. This also carries through into the flavor which is complimented additionally by apricot and sweet toffee. Body is moderate and oily with an extremely bitter finish. Pretty impressive overall show for what is typically only used as a bittering hop. Once again showing me why I really like Mikkeller.

Dec 1, 2009 From a bottle poured a hazy straw color with a good amount of head. Nice strong hoppy flavor with a lasting finish.

Nov 29, 2009 Gold pour. Frothy white head. Aroma has some hops, but not what I expected. Malty nose carries over to the beer. It has more of an ESB quality to it. Odd.
