| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 24, 2009 Bottle from Sam’s. Hazy orange with plenty of head that lasts throughout. Very nice looking beer. Smells good too. Better than some American simcoe-themed beers I have had. A lot going on here, but I won’t attempt to describe it all. Pine, citrus, pineapple, mango. Nice bitterness while being easily drinkable. One of the better Mikkeller beers I have had. Muggus69 (567), Sydney, Australia

Murky orange gold body with a thick creamy offwhite head that hangs around for the full trip.
Big fragrant hop aroma. Plenty of pine, cedar, grapefruit, passionfruit, pineapple, grass and spice. A detectable hint of biscuity malt underneath it all.
Smooth body, moderate carbonation, quite creamy with excellent length. Big bitterness dries out the palate very early on.
Mouth watering hops on the body, zesty citrus, woody spices, ripe tropical and stone fruits. Malt body becomes apparent mid-body, biscuit and toffee. Finishes with an aggessive lingering woody bitterness.
Fantastic IPA. Really showcases the hop in very well with a hint of malt backbone and clean yeast profile. Would definately consider using Simcoe in some brewing of my own... beerguy101 (3972), Newark, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 21, 2009 Sampled on 3/25/2009. This IPA pours a slightly cloudy medium orange gold color from a 33cl bottle. Medium sized white foamy head, with good lacing and nice retention. The aroma is piney and grapefruity. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet, with lots of pineapple and peach flavors. The hops are grapefruity. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Very clean and crisp hop bitterness. Nice beer. I wonder if there will be a single hop sampler 6-pack? Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. after4ever (2840), Brier, Washington, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Apr 21, 2009 12-oz. Pours a murky medium amber with bright caramel highlights. Thick, fluffy white head that falls eventually to a big pile of foamy rocks and tons of webby lace. The expected huge bouquet of tropical fruit: mango, pineapple, some apricot and maybe a bit of caramel as it warms. Creamy medium body that just bleeeeds apricots as soon as you take a sip. Rich, creamy, fruity, candied. Delectable. Perfect for my sweet tooth. Some caramel and biscuit hiding out under the wash of apricot and tropical fruits, but, really, this is a Simcoe delivery system, and a great one at that. Long, mildly bittersweet finish. Awesome beer. drfabulous (1283), Columbia, Missouri, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 20, 2009 Intense grapefruit aroma. Bitterness. Citrus. High alcohol taste. Very nice IPA. Borders intensity. But worth over five bucks for one? More expensive than Hop Slam. robforbes (1114), Bremerton, Washington, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 17, 2009 Bottle and served in classic no-nik pint glass: Hazy amber gold hue with an initial big fluffy head which produced outstanding lacework upon the glass work. The aroma is well... SIMCOE Duh, juicy fruity and herbal with some resiny pine and garlic catty undertones along with bready pale malts and a hint of caramel, white pepper and a dash of mineral water. The taste follows suit to a tee... hoppy, fruity, catty, and peppery with a layer of pale malts. Chalky and minerally finish. As is the case of most single hopped brews it is a bit one note, but when done right that one note is beautiful sounding. With this brew, that is the case. The mouth feel is sprite but not over-the-top, I did find the chalky finish more than a bit distracting however. All told, one simple but beer geek worthy brew. Well played Mikkeller!
