Dec 21, 2008 Wow! Powerful and overwhelming hop explosion which almost tranquilizes the mouth. Extremely grassy and almost over the edge. An OD of hops - lovely!

Dec 21, 2008 On tap @ EBF 2008 as Single Hop Simcoe IPA. Golden body with a big off white head. Strong hoppy aroma of citrus like grapefruit and pine. Flavor has some malt, but dominated by hops and citrus. It actually does not feel sweet at all, just bitter. Long and bitter finish as well. Even being a beer for hopheads it does not feel to one-dimensional, I find it aggressive but balanced.

Dec 19, 2008 Golden with a thick head. Aggressive hoppy aroma (hell yeah!) with notes of citrus, orange, grape and pine. The flavour is primarily dominated by the simcoe (although there is some caramel for balance), and halfway through the bottle it did perhaps get a bit too much. But up until then, the experience was grand!

Dec 11, 2008 Bottle.Deep amber colour with white meddium head who stays.Strong hoppy taste with note of peach,pine and grapefruits,well balanced and nice mouth feels.Full body and long bitter finish.

Dec 11, 2008 On tap at Ølbaren , Copenhagen. Golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma is hop, pineapple, malt. Flavour is hop, pineapple, malt, citrus. Hoppy finish. Very nice beer.

Dec 5, 2008 Draught at EBF 2008, Copenhagen, Denmark. [ as Mikkeller Single Hop Simcoe IPA ]. Clear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, pine, grapefruit, orange. Flavor is moderate sweet and heavy bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 120908

Nov 29, 2008 On tap at the European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. (as Single Hop Simcoe IPA) An almost clear beer of golden color. Wonderful citrusy nose with pineapple, pinecones and resin, as well as a good maltyness. In the mouth too, the hops dominates, but it has enough malty sweetness to give it some balance. Citrus, pinecones, pineapple and resin from the hops. Full-bodied, almost astringent bitter and teeth cleaning. Long hoppy finish. A really pleasant one, at least in smaller quantities. All night?
