Bottle at Hashigo Zake. Pours deep amber, huge fluffy head.
Big tropical fruits on the aroma, a twang of pine and sweet malt background.
Tastes like Tropical Just Juice! Tropical fruits, a medium bitterness follows, sweet malt and an earthy finish which linger dry. Pine on the burp.
A great beer, & an interesting experiment!

Thin tan head of fine bubbles. Stunning aroma with loads of fresh cut citrus fruit, pine sap, dill pickles and macaroni salad. Man this aroma is all over the place. Either that or my nose is severly messed up. Color is a hazy dark orange. Strong bitter flavor with more dill, herbal flavors, grapefruit rind and some grain. Dry and slightly chalky palate. This is one severly bitter brew. A good IPA but different than most.

Bottle, many thanks to hobbersr. Shared with the man himself, and Macadem. Peaches, mangoes and papaya in the nose, gentle hops, cat pee. Palate is stonefruits, bright hops; exceedingly nice.

Pours out a cracking golden brown with a nice white head. The nose is grand, snifters of lychee, honey & slight citrus. The palate is full & rounded, conditioning spot on, a real joy to have a gobful. The flavours are nicely intense but not head-bangingly full on, loads of dried citrus fruit, grapefruit, slight lemon maybee & the lychees make another appearance, with an underwriting of honey & toasted malt to keep things lush. The finish pulls all this citrus into focus with a nice bitterness &hoppiness that lasts well. Unfortunately my wife really liked this beer so drank most of mine., top stuff.

Smells absolutely fan-freakin-tastic, then drops dead for taste. I dont think i could list everything this beer smells like but i’ll try: apples, red berries, red licorice, blueberry, mango, a little pineapple, basically an array of tropical fruit. I wish this tasted anywhere close to how it smells, although the tropical fruit does show through a little. Pours cloudy, with some great lacing.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with a large, frothy, off-white head, mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Aroma is average malt (caramel, cookie), heavy hop (flowers, pine, citrus), light yeast (dough) with notes of pear and peach. Medium bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation, and a creamy texture. Long duration, heavy sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.
