Murky, lively orange copper body with thick, creamy offwhite foam. Clumpy lace clings to the glass.
Woody hop nose with earthy spice, leafy herb and dried apricot, some underlying unripe stonefruit and grapefruit sharpness. Balanced quite well noticable malt body; light caramel, biscuit and toast.
Relatively low carbonation, big sticky body carrying good length and lingering for seemingly an eternity.
I’m hit with a huge wall of resinous hop flavour upon sipping; grass, grapefruit rind, pine, earthy spice, nectarine; all very much in balance, once again, with the caramel malt body. Solid bitterness to finish, lingering dr hop spice.
Very much a fan of showcasing hops in this way, especially with a beer that has the malt body to carry the weight of them. Typical sort of American hop flavours really, but certainly enjoyable. vyvvy (2059), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 14, 2009 Pours hazy deep amber with a large soapy tan head. The aroma is earthy, woody, dry grapefruit and orange pith hop traits along with a toasted caramel malt bill in the back. Medium body that is very crisp with lots of sharp micro carbonation. The flavor begins much like the aroma with very bold flavors with the woodiness and dry citrus dominating. The finish is dry, hoppy and lingering. A very nice IPA. thirdeye11 (545), Texas, USA

Taste has the mint noted in the nose, hops are medium throughout and well balanced. The mouthfeel is oily, slick, and perfect. This was a really good IPA to me. jfm (1695), Holbæk, Denmark

Aromas of caramel, pine, peach, herbs and pineapple. Super fruity flavour with notes of tofee, grapefruit, lemon peel and resin. BMan1113VR (2886), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 7, 2009 Bottle. Pours with a large, creamy, off-white head and a hazed golden body with some particles. Good lace, actually very good lace that leaves a line for each sip, and full retention. Aroma is room filling, with pine needles, pineapple, apricot and caramel. Little bit of orange rind as well. Taste is herbal and pine like at first finishing with a bit of exotic fruit and a decent amount of harsh hop bite. Very nice. Some caramel and alcohol. Medium carbonation, a bit on the thicker side for a basic IPA. Very good single hop beer!
