| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 6, 2009 Pours from the bottle a hazy orange with a large fluffy off white head. The aroma was clean hops, with a lemony edge and no malt to speak of. Taste was initial malty sweetness followed quickly by bitter from the hops that slowly tapers to a nice clean finish, very pleasant. My mouth was left a little tingly by the end from all the bitterness. This beer seemed very bitter hop but not much hop flavor or aroma. It was very interesting to see what warrior hops will do on their own. NobleSquirrel (1114), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 5, 2009 Bottle from Sam’s Clybourn. Pours a murky/hazed orange with an oily fine bubbled head. Nose of rock sugar, fresh alfalfa, spices like cloves. Pretty nice. On taste, super aggressive bitterness that bashes your tongue. This is a powerful hop, a bit dank tasting and bitter. There is some interesting bread notes, but they fade fast. This is definitely an IPA worth drinking. Very nice. NosirIwont (1182), Aalborg Vestby, Denmark
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 5, 2009 Bottle. Pours a murky orange/brown with a fluffy off-white head. Aroma is grassy hops with a remote tart yeast note and a faint sweetness in the background. As it warms, it develops some floral and fruity notes. Flavour is malty with hops and a bit of tart yeast. Finish is bitter liquorice with malt and a faint spicy note. Lingering bitterness with an apple note. Rated against the Simcoe hops version, and this draws the short straw; the hops here are less interesting, and the beer feels much more plain. It does however bring out some other notes which the hops in the Simcoe concealed, but these notes just aren’t anything special. 06-06-09. nate2g (1082), Brisbane, Australia

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 1, 2009 A big white foamy head dissipates pretty quickly but leaves a serious lacing. Pretty copper color. Floral and bubble gum like aroma. A touch of caramel malt. Flavor is big bitterness on the finish but preceded by a decent malt body. Pretty big on the sweetness here and a very smooth beginning and mid palate experience. iowaherkeye (1859), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 1, 2009 11.2oz bottle, cap stamped 10/13/10, and purchased from Bottle Barn. Not quite as effervescent as the Nelson version, but a big off-white head still came forth atop a clear orange-amber body. The hops here seem to lean towards grassy and herbal, and with a good amount of lemon lime citrus. Earthy caramel is the backbone. The flavor gets a little tangy with some lemon pulp notes--kinda strange. Plenty of earthy caramel--and minimal sweetness--is noted. Bone dry finish with bitterness around a 6, with little flavor to add other than straight bitterness. Medium high carbonation with a medium body. I liked this more than I thought I was going to. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 1, 2009 bottle from Sam’s quick stop. Sweet aroma, Canned ice tea, lemon/lime. Brownish orange color, good head, that faded quickly to a lite foam cover, ok lace. Bitter sweet flavor, Lite body, thick creamy mouthfeel, bitter dry finish. Good beer, palate was favorite part, like how it felt lite yet had a thick creaminess as I rolled it on my tongue.
