Lots of candy and pine radiating from the aroma. Almost citrus and bubblegum like and some etoh latent fruit a touch like a Belgian tippel character. Very sweet with some light candy and pine character then a more aggressive bitterness takes over drying your palate slightly with some earthy bitterness. yngwie (4974), Kristiansand, Norway
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 30, 2009 Bottle. A slightly hazy, orange-golden beer with a finger-thick off-white head and lots of micro-floaties. The nose is quite citrusy, with orange-peel being the most evident. The malts are more or less hidden in the back. Rather bitter flavor with citrus and citrus peel doing most of the job here too. Some resin, tropical fruits and malty sweetness as well, but most of all this is a tribute to hopheads. Lasting, bitter finish. Full-bodied, almost astringent mouthfeel. A nice one, but almost too much on the hoppy side. (090430) elihapa (1067), Honolulu, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 30, 2009 Bottle. Pours opaque orange with a huge cream-colored head. Aroma has soapy hops, and citrus. Flavor has a nice initial citrus peel bitterness, soapy notes, and lime. Definite bitterness and soap from the Warrior hops, which is really interesting. Finish is refreshingly bitter, slightly herbal, and flowery. Certainly not an IPA that has strives for balance, but being a homebrewer myself I really enjoyed this. Brownish/orange pour with a long lasting white head. Piney, spicey, herbal aroma. Slightly bitter, caramally, not bad. PilsnerPeter (2617), Flushing, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 27, 2009 Bottle: Hazy deep orange/golden with a dense light tan head. Lots of vegetal character in the aroma with light spearmint and oregano notes backed by a light caramelized note and pine. Evident crystal malt in the flavor- caramelized and toasted with a peppery resiny hop character- vegetal, catty, evident mercaptan notes. No fruity finesse nor hop subtlety. Eh, not bad. ucusty (1900), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 26, 2009 330 ml bottle from the Bayou. Pours a light amber color with a medium white head. The aroma is nice; lots of warrior hops, not aggressive but light pine and caramel malt. The flavor was again dominated by the warrior hops; grassy, light pine and fairly smooth and nice. Easygoing and it was nice to taste this next to the simcoe. Nice.
