| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 24, 2009 On draft at Brewpub Kobenhagen. Arrived hazy copper color, with a small, yet thick beige head that leaves lots of lace. Brash hop aroma, crisp florals, a bit of perfume, lemon rind and toasty malts. Flavor is dominated by citrusy and resiney hops, bitter and puckery with more of the toasty malts lurking in the back ground. But overall this one is dedicated to the glory of the Warrior. Medium body with assertively prickly carbonation.

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 22, 2009 Whether this beer hasn’t travelled well, which, seeing as I live in Australia, is entirely possible, I couldn’t help but think that there may have been something a little wrong. Aroma slightly chemically. But through that, a certain pungency that can only be Warrior. Flavour is slightly malty, then a big whack of hop bitterness & flavour. Well, interesting idea. Would like to try it fresher, but not bad for a contract job. radiomgb (2068), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 19, 2009 Cloudy golden orange, long lasting large off-white head, excellent lacing.
Aroma is peppery, some orange jam, yeasty with a slight sourness.
Flavour has some peppery spice, moderate bitterness, oranges, rather sweet.
Bitter mouth, med body, mod carb.
Finishes dry, spicy, highly bitter.
Rough compared to the Simcoe, quite bitter.
330ml bottle purchased at Premier Gourmet in Buffalo, New York.
Opened on August 3, 2009.
Best before December 12, 2010. 5000 (2600), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 18, 2009 Bottle: Pale caramel, dirty and hazy, large frothy off-white head, clingy lacing. Nose is a bit sweeter than the Simcoe. Hoppy, citrusy, tangy, but sweeter. Sweet pixie stix like flavor on the tongue. Certainly has a hop aspect but its minor compared to the candied sweetness. Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full. Sweet citrusy finish. Almost more of a Pale Ale than an IPA given its lack of IPA like bitterness. Otherwise a sweet example of the style, entertaining, especially if you like your IPAs on the sweet side.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 15, 2009 Bottle. Pours a deep hazy ochre hued brown with a medium to large dense creamy yellowed beige head. Just a touch earthy with lots of pine and light citrus. Medium bodied, smooth and clean, light citrus and pineapple. Leads into a short deep bitter grapefruit finish. dkachur (2416), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 14, 2009 11.2 ounce bottle from Sam’s Quik Shop in Durham, NC. Pours a hazy brownish orange color with a large frothy head. Good head retention and lacing. Hoppy aroma with notes of orange, pineapple and other citrus notes with a bit a bit of herbalness. A malty almost smoky note as well. Taste is bitter spicy and herbal hops. Lightly smoky malts here as well. Faint citrus hop notes in the finish. Medium bodied. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 10, 2009 Thin head which dissipates quickly. A whole boat load of chunky floaters that, try as I may, still made its way past my decant. Largely floral hops aroma with some brussel sprouts and a hint of tangering. Very distinct brussel sprouts which may be the first time I ever said that about a beer. Color is a dark copper orange with a good bit of floaters. Rather bitter flavor but not really that dry or puckering. More flowers and citrus rind pith. Ah now the dryness is showing up. Dried flowers and a bit vegetal also. Finishes dry and moderately bitter. Body is a bit thin and lacking in the malts. Also a bit dead in the mouth. Not much carbonation. A decent IPA. deflagro (100), Lund, Sweden
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 7, 2009 Bottle. Pale yellow, a bit cloudy liquid with a rather large, white head. Aroma is a bit weird, chemical and pungent with notes of juniper. Taste is a bit woody, with a distinct bitterness and a small fruitiness. Balanced, but a bit insipid. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 6, 2009 I’ve only one other of these Mikkeller single hop beers - the Cascade one. Whereas the Cascade was a mellower hop flavor, this one was much more woodsy and rough around the edges. Lots of pine woody notes and only a hint of citrus. Very tasty.
