Commercial Description:
Earlier batches brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
A love of American microbrews is the inspiration behind this IPA, brewed with generous amounts of aromatic, American hops, which provide the significant freshness and bitterness with lots of citrus notes. The taste sensations are nicely balanced by the sweetness from the caramel malt.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pilsner, munich and caramunich), flaked oats, hops (chinook, cascade and amarillo) and ale yeast.

Pours slightly hazy orange with huge white head. Nose is prickly floral with a ton of pine cone. Palate is grapefruit citrusy sour, old fashioned soapy, with a lot of dry pine cone wallop going on. Almost has a kitchen cleaning product quality to it, but still a tasty beer. Or maybe it’s the soap - clean as a whistle!

Light golden/copper with a generous fluffy white head. CItrus hoppy aroma, some sweetness. Flavor is mostly hops, not a bad thing, but could have used a smidgen more malt body. Ends with a slightly piney, mostly grapefruit bitterness.

An IPA with some caramell and malty flavours. It had the bitterness but I missed that hoppy aroma that I love so much in american IPAs.

Bottle. Poured a clear copper with a medium white head. Aroma was full of citrus hop notes, quite bitter and crisp. Flavor began with pine notes, but citrus hops dominate to the finish.

Bottle. Amber, with minimal white head. Citrusy nose with some toffee. Body a bit thin, but lots of great grassy hops to enjoy.

Bottle from K&L Redwood City, shared by bubba83 on BA. Thanks, Kevin! Nice almost clear copper color with a creamy white head. Aroma is sweet malt, apple, and citrus hops. Flavor is slightly oxidized, with caramel malt, orange/citrus hops, green apple, and some sherry. Palate is a little astringent with medium body and lingering bitterness. This was not quite as good as other Mikkeller IPAs I’ve had, although it still wasn’t bad at all. May have been less than fresh.
