Bottle from K&L in Redwood City, labeled as "Czech-style pilsner." Pours a nice bright golden color with a substantial white head. Aroma is sweet malt, floral hops, and a little band-aid. Flavor is sweet malt, floral/grassy hops, butter, and...uh oh...loads of band-aid on the finish. Not good. At first I thought, "Ok, I can drink this!" but before too long, I had to make this one a rare drain pour. Palate was nice, light and crisp. This would be good without the band-aids! Maybe it just doesn’t travel well. I’d like to try this again in case that was a bad bottle, but just wish these beers weren’t so damn expensive.

Yellow and cloudy/yeasty, nice head of thick clinging foam. Good bready aroma with a hit of toast, yeast and hop bitterness and an odd lingering smokiness, not unpleasant but not entirely expected. I f you told me it was a collaboration between them and Spezial in Bamberg, I’d believe you!

Bottle@Home. Herbal hops, some citrus and hints of smoke and leather. Hazy, pale yellow, white head, good lace. Malty and well hopped, nice bitterness. Hints of smoke, herbs and leather in the flavour as well. Interesting and flavourful Bohemian.

Bottle, labeled czech-style pilsner. Yellowish pour with a big pillowy white head. Aroma is earthy czech hops and biscuity or rye malt; some fruity esthers. The flavor has all of the above, with the hops and bready malt dominating, light sweetness comes in later and maybe light toast / smoke in the finish.

Sampled at DŘE Beerfestival 2009, Valby. Pours a clear pale yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is hops (saaz) and malt. The flavor is dried fruits and malt. The palate leaves some bitterness. Overall an average beer.
