Reddish orange pour with a big white head. Sweet candy aroma, with spice and malt. Flavor is fairly sweet, spicy, very effervescent, and at the end, somewhat crisp. Decent stuff.

My entry into Where the Wild Beers Are @ The Gate 8/30/09 (along with Ommegeddon). Golden orange with head and lace. Sweet orangey hay barn aroma. Hoppy fresh melon hay spicy hoppy bitter dry finish with very mild barn funk. Nice effervescent carbo. Very good

Bottle at WTWBA. I fail to see any hint of sour or brett in this at all. A touch of cherry aromatics, mostly just hoppy and bitter, very American IPA-like. The flavor is little different. I’ll stick with It’s Alive, thanks.

Bottle at the Where the Wild Beers are event. Pours a hazy light brown with a thin white head. Hops and caramel. Weird caramel, dry brett, light brown sugar. Weird off flavors on the finish.

Very good creamy head, slightly irregular, off-white, leaving lace over light-brown beer with red/orange sheen. US hops and warm dark malts, nettles, and a husk-like aroma. Far beyond all that I smell a funky bitterness, Brettanomyces. Very bitter, woody, Maillard-like, burnt bread. Finishes as walnut peel and orange zeste. Nearly harsh throatwarming, chewy, well-bodied, gristslickness. OK, but somehow the Brett sits uneasy upon the dark malts/UShops bill. They make for a living, but it feels... forced.

Clear brown/orange with a small baige head. Aroma is mainly hoppy with notes of grape along with suger and some brett. Taste is bitter more than anything else. Lacks sweetness for my taste which makes it abit harsh in the finish.

Bottle. Red colour with medium off white head. Aroma dry, funky american hopps. Taste dry, malty, hopps. This beer is close to an Orval.
