Floral hops in the aroma, with some pine. Sweet mandarin and malt balance the grapefruit bitterness. My final beer of the gathering, and a worthy conclusion. Hansen (2357), Randers, Denmark

Amber, a bit hazy color. Small white head, lace. Fruity, bretta-yeast nose, some apricot too. Sour, citrusy, hoppy flavor. Long bitter aftertaste. Good brew. swoopjones (1925), Buffalo, New York, USA

Mild Orval like earthiness. Kind of like Orval’s uglier sister. Big bitter finish after the earthy yeastiness up front. Very drinkable but lacking a bit in flavor FatPhil (3483), Espoo, Finland

Big bold new-world hop aroma, citrus and grapefruit, perhaps a little over-the-top. Palate’s pure battery acid. A beer with no balance, and no details at all. This is to beer what John Lennon’s guitar sitting on top of the monitors producing feedback once he left the stage was to music. I.e. it isn’t. Even a couple of sips was too much, it’s just painful to drink. JensenTaster (1588), Denmark
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 24, 2009 (on bottle) A very yeaty and earthy aroma, along wing a whim of hops gone moldy and old. The brew is pretty perky and keeps it that way all through the drink. I really don´t get much more than mold and heavy yeast in this beer, sipping along for a long while, hoping for more complexity. It´dosen´t apear and I walk away,a bit disapointed. tarjei (1762), Bryne, Norway
