Dec 4, 2009 Black colored brew. Very nice aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, whiskey, oak/wood, some sweetness. Flavor is great too, creamy, thick malty, roasted, subtile whiskey tones, some fruits and oak. Great, balanced brew, love it.

Nov 23, 2009 Bottled. Dark opaque color, medium fluorescent brown head. Aroma of dark chocolat, coffee, dried fruit, lovely slight sweet whisky, hint of candy. Dark roasted malty taste, thick. Lovely stuff.

Nov 20, 2009 Bottle from KimJohansen (thanks Kim!). Pours black...as the night...with a huge rush of dark tan head. Aroma of dark fruits, some chocolate, peanuts, and perhaps a tinge of whiskey, though it’s not coming out all that much. Taste is roasted malts, more evident whiskey, raisins. Mouthfeel is pretty oily and slick. Finish is hot and raisiny. A good effort for sure.

Nov 20, 2009 Bottled. Tnx, thewolf for reserving this one for me at Olbutikken. The aroma is wonderfull. It has chocolate, roast, wood, vanilla, some whiskey and fruity port-like notes. Quite creamy. Black coloured beer with a frothy (!) fluorescent dark brown head. Great looks. The taste is roasted, has chocolate some coffee, overripe fruits and some whisky and wood. The whisky is well balanced in this one and there is no massive peat. Full bodied beer and quite some carbonation for this style. I really enjoyed this beer.

Nov 14, 2009 A black colored beer, with a dark beige head, with big bubbles. The aroma of smoke, with fruit and chocolate malt and notes of wood. The taste of bitter chocolate with smoke moving over to whisky and alcohol in the back it’s dry. The aftertaste is dry and bitter with alcohol.
