| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 27, 2009 500 mL ceramic Bottle with a flip-top, Batch # 08-611-614, 11-octane. Deep murky amber with a small off-white soapy head leaving some spotty lacing. Floral-hoppy aroma with a definite cherry accent to it. Flavor: I can best describe it as being like tropical fruit over the sweet malty presence. Banana, pineapple, mango, a hint of cherry, and a note of caramel team up with resiny hops to match. There is a fruity-hoppy lingering about it in the finish that just invites you to sip again; whatever it is, I like it. A real flavor bomb with an octane to match although I detect nothing boozy about it. Whatever you do, beer drinker, don’t get too brave with this one. I see "wine" on the label and it has to be treated as such, or that 11 octane will kick you in the head. Enjoy! Nekronos (2265), Xalapa, Mexico

Aroma: I can smell it from an arms length away. Caramel/sweet, mango and cherry. Malt and vanilla. Flavour: Very very sweet, sticky, almost like a glass of corn syrup. Alcohol is present, has a long sweet finish. Not bad but I reckon another couple of years aging would do it good. Not worth the price - over CAD$11 mnurda (434), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

This one was tought to judge fairly as I had it immediately after the Three Floyds Behemoth. Still, it was very tasty, and drinkable. Elkas (86), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 2, 2009 2007 bottle I purchased 15 months ago and have been saving for this New Years Day. I served it direct from my cold room, about 14 degrees. The pours looks rich, with a deep amber body and rich white head. The aroma is very nice, like an English strong ale, but with more carmel notes. Mouthfeel is thick, rich, and chewey. Flavour of malt and caramel, and a lingering hop finish. No noticable alcohol taste, but after a few sips you could feel its warmth. Went down far to easy for a 10% ABV beer. Very nice indeed. AGAquino (91), San Juan, Puerto Rico

Nice aroma, though not able to pi point. Sweet fruity, strong alcohol flavour. Lingering aftertaste. Similar to Belgian Quadruppel Ale. mullet2007 (206), St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Dec 15, 2008 2008 bottle. Pours a nice orange to copper colour with a small creamy off-white head. Nose is not as strong as it might be. It is very sweet and very malty. Toffee, some bready, yeasty notes, and a fair it of raisiny fruits. Alcohol warmth is very present. Past that, a lot of sweet malts, and some dark fruits. There is a bit of hop bitterness, but not too much. Exceptionally thick and chewy. Very nice carbonation. Not bad, but would probably benefit from some time to age. It has got a lot of good characteristics, but it could use some time to mellow out and blend together and stuff.
