Commercial Description:
Mill St Belgian style Wit is a refreshing beer made with a unique blend of ingredients. The soft texture and pale colour comes from the use of wheat. Coriander, orange peel and our special yeast produce the complexity and depth of fruity flavours contained within the glass. This beer is unfiltered. The resulting cloudiness gave rise to the term Wit, or White beer

A Mes rate: Bottle at HogTownHarry Fest ’08
Very pale cloudy yellow with a white film topping. Lemon hop aroma that has some slight vegetal notes. Nice and crisp wheaty, lemon hop flavour with a lovely dry finish. Spicy and herbacious. A good starter beer.

Bottle at HogTownHarry Fest 08. Hazy/cloudy pale gold with thin white head. Soapy cereal, some orange spice. Good carbonation, not too much cereal. Nice citrus sting on finish, bit of clementines. Mixed spice finish. Excellent wit.

Hazy yellow pour with a thin microbubbly head. Citrysy flowery scent reminiscent of Hoegaarden. Taste is watery and refreshing with hints of sweetness. There is a bitter tartness in the finish that reminds me that I am drinking a beer. A great summer beer and still pleasant in the off season.

Pours a pale murkey yellow with a thin lightly stickey head that has decent retention. Aroma is coriander, orange, and wheat. Flavour is lighter then I expected but still tasty, some sweetness at first, with a bit of wheat, some spice, coriander, and lemon. A decent brew, but I expected more from Mill St.

Bottle. Murky yellow appearance with creamy milk-like accents. Effusive clove/spice aroma. Average palate is missing a certain depth or richness. Nicely flavoured with expected clove spiciness, complemented by an unusual but not distasteful white pepper/jalapeno character. Good but not great.

341 mL bottle in 6-pack from LCBO (party leftovers), served cold in a chalice .

App.: Cloudy straw with a minute white head. Aroma: Yeast, funk, cheese, organic acids, minerals, light citrus and coriander, a bit wheaty. Palate: Medium-light body, medium sharp effervescence, a touch astringent. Flav.: More coriander, very light citrus, some yeast and dough, minerals, light cereal/wheat, finish is a little tart and just a wee touch bitter.

Not a style a care for and not an example I care for.

Hazy straw colour with minimal head. Aroma is light with some wheat and coriander. Flavour is lots of lemon and is quite thin after. Easy drinker made to style.

Slightly hazed pale golden colour with a short-lasting fizzy white head. The nose is vibrant and fresh with a great citrus splash, some yeast and a touch of spice. The front is gassy with a bit of yeast. Quickly there is a sweet malty body that sustains the fruit and slight bitterness of the finish. Nice wit from a local brewery!
