Commercial Description:
Mill St Belgian style Wit is a refreshing beer made with a unique blend of ingredients. The soft texture and pale colour comes from the use of wheat. Coriander, orange peel and our special yeast produce the complexity and depth of fruity flavours contained within the glass. This beer is unfiltered. The resulting cloudiness gave rise to the term Wit, or White beer

Pale opaque yellow. Lemony, peachy, orangey aroma with light spice and some wheatiness. Assertive citrus, quite tart and wheaty. Subtle coriander at the back, and fairly dry.

Bottle at HogTownHarry Fest 08. Hazy/cloudy pale gold with thin white head. Soapy cereal, some orange spice. Good carbonation, not too much cereal. Nice citrus sting on finish, bit of clementines. Mixed spice finish. Excellent wit.

Very pale cloudy yellow with a white film topping. Lemon hop aroma that has some slight vegetal notes. Nice and crisp wheaty, lemon hop flavour with a lovely dry finish. Spicy and herbacious. A good starter beer.

Bottle courtesy of matt7215. Pours a hazy amber wih a thin white head. Smells of ginger, coriander, some pepper, dough, citrus. Tastes citrussy and dry with some spicy hints on the finish. Enjoyable.

A golden wit with a thick creamy lacing white head. A very pleasant aroma of blood oranges, cloves and caramel. In mouth, a decent light wit with sweet wheat malt, orange peels and light bubble gum. Medium bodied. Sampled on tap at the Wellington Gastropub, Ottawa.

Good wheat effort by Mill Street, arguably their best. Fresh on tap at Beer Bistro. Did side-by-side with Blache de Chamblay. Mill was a gorgeous blond gold peach with a retained head and good lace in glass. Fresh fruity yeast and wheat smell. Creamy on tongue, easy Summer drink.

Draught. Sampled at 2005 Toronto (Fort York) Festival of Beer. Poured a murky, opaque bright yellow with an average white head. Aroma - banana! - noticeable ashy hops, yeasty malt, coriander spiciness and strangely, honey-garlic. Flavour of lemon and orange, banana split sweetness, just enough mild hops to remind you it’s there. A bit juicy and candyish on the palate, but not as harsh as a german-style wheat usually is. Like a less sophisticated, less balanced cousin to the Denison Weissbier.

On tap @ C’est What?
Lightly hazed wheat with rather small white top (this could be due improper pouring)
Good grainy wheat like accented aroma, fresh notes of banana and raw white dough. 7+
Medium bodied . Clean wheat with full set of flavour typical with use of such grain. Palate was soft and quiet drinkable. On sweeter side which is most visible at finish. 6+
