| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 12, 2009 Smells of light pale malts and yeast. Looks like large scale production lager. Tastes like large scale production lager. I mean wit. Wait, they don’t produce wit on the large scale in north america, is this bottle mislabelled? cuz what I’m drinking sure as hedoublehockeystix isn’t a belgian beer in ANY way. It’s dull and boring and I feel like I should be drinking it at a local fight arean/hockey game providing a poor example for our youths. It’s like a lager made with a differnet yeast. Its ok to drink, but its not what you expect to get when you read the bottle. Based on this, I’d say it’s crap except that it is smooth enough of flavour and palate to drink. Still, it is misleading. Buttery, almost artificial orange aroma, but not uninviting. Slightly hazy yellow under a thick white ring. Sour wheat flavour with some nice butter and no bitterness, though a nice dry finish. Light body, moderate carbonation, slightly tangy finish. Solid witbier. cfrancis (363), Gloucester, Ontario, Canada

Pleasantly surprised. Hazy golden/orange pour with a decent white head. Aroma is orange, ginger, and coriander. Taste is citrus and grains, mild mild hops with a yeasty kick on an otherwise smooth finish. Very drinkable, and a great summer Wit.
