Commercial Description:
We produce a traditional styled Irish Stout that is served using beer gas to produce that familiar creamy pour. Our black stout has a roasted malt flavour and a hint of toasted walnuts and choclate in the finish. Select imported hops are used to dry out the finish of this ale.

On tap at the Castle. Very appealing black with a rich and creamy, yet firmer than other nitro heads. Aroma: Basically the ideal dry stout, nice roastiness, etc. Flavour: Very nice dry roasted character providing perfect bitterness. Subtle hints of charred coffee, maybe a small touch of chocolate. Nice rich and creamy mouth-feel. This is the best dry stout I’ve ever had. So enjoyable!

On tap at the Castle on King- Pours deep, dark black murky liquid with a one finger mocha froth. Good lace and head retention. The aroma is subtle, and also quite pleasant. Mild coffee, some dark choclate, roasted barley, slight hops, some burnt toasty notes. Tastes like roasted coffee beans with good bitterness and some dark chocolate, accompanied with toasty roasted barley and some rye. Quite creamy with astringent bitter finish. Good.

A pleasant dry stout, with a strong roasted barley taste. Hints of coffee and chocolate. Nice dark body and rich creamy head. On tap at the Mill Street Brewpub.

My favourite stout, hands down. Chocolat-esque with hints of coffee and nuts. Wonderful dark brown, light black colour with an amazing after taste and clean white head. Can’t get enough!

a textbook dry stout with nitro head, the aroma is roasty and the flavor is slightly chocolatey with main accent in the roasted barley. very nice.

Very dark black colour with a foamy tan head. The nose had some hints of coffee bean with a little sweet chocoloate. The body was smooth and just a bit on the thin side. However, as a dry stout, I loved the nice choclatey undertone and just a little smokey character. A nice stout from these guys.

Do I detect a hint of mint, or toothpaste along with the roasted coffee notes? Yes, I do. Fairly dry, a bit sour and a slight bitterness in the finish. Not bad, better than average, but there’s way better out there.

On tap at the Castle Tapped a deep black that defies light to pass through the glass. Great sticky mocha colored cap stays for the drink. Aromas of French roast mocha and wet grass. Taste is more like a rich Burton milk stout than dry Irish stout..which is good because I preffer rich stouts...cocoa, coffee, nuts light smoke against a creamy dark toffee-like malt backbone. Rich mouthfeel, smooth, creamy without being sweet.....I prefer this kind of malty stout...much like Murphy’s but better.
