Commercial Description:
Our porter is rich and robust, dark brown in colour with a dark roasted coffee nose, imparting an intense coffee flavour with notes of chocolate. Made with beans supplied by the Distillery District’s Balzac’s Coffee, this porter offers a rich, full and unique flavour. Currently, there are no other coffee-flavoured beers in the Ontario market.

12 oz bottle thanks to blankboy. Very classic porter flavors and aromas. More coffee maybe than a classic porter, but still a very good example of a porter.

Bottle shared with toncatcher and fordest. Very dark brown with a decent foamy head. Smells of roasted chocolate and hints coffee. Decent taste of the same. Well done.

Thanks to RagallachMC for the bottle. Dark brown with a medium head. Aroma is milky chocolate, coffee and earth. Very balanced mocha type taste. Mostly sweet. A bit thin. But still very tasty.

Bonus bottle from ragallachmc. thanks paul. black with a sudsy tan head. Mild nose, lactose, some coffee, a little cocoa. Flavor is more full, with strong coffee (just the right amount) and baker’s chocolate notes. Usually coffee beers turn me off a bit, but the mouthfeel and flavor of this one is really working for me. The bottle says I will "be pleasantly surprised by this delicious and satisfying combination." Correct-o-mondo.

A very good beer. The touch of coffee taste was excellent, and not off putting like I would have predicted the combo to be before trying it.

bottle from blankboy, thanks!...brownish/black with a large whit head...taste is unlike any coffee beer I’ve had before, taste of coffee is a very strong dark roast, perhaps could use a little sweetening, coffee definitely outshines the porter here...certainly worth trying, but there are others I prefer

Bottle. Split with NachlamSie. Pours dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma is mildly roasty chocolate malts, and lots of mild coffee. Flavor is very smooth roast, with a solid coffee prescence and a bit of chocolate and hazelnut toffee. The mouthfeel is creamy, yet light, and before I knew it, my glass was empty.

Bottle, thanks Muenster! Pours a dark nearl-black with a very nice tan head. This is brownish in the light, not red like I was expecting. The nose has very strong coffee which is slightly abrasive, but not bad at all. Some slight pine and chocolate hang around in the scent as well. The flavor is even better. It’s solidly milky, creamy, with hints of chocolate and obvious coffee. The coffee flavor is pretty bright and slightly drying, probably Latin American in origin from what I can discern through the combo here. The carbonation is a little high for the style, but it works very well with the more acidic notes. Everything is fairly light for a coffee porter, but it would make a fantastic session ale.
