Commercial Description:
Our porter is rich and robust, dark brown in colour with a dark roasted coffee nose, imparting an intense coffee flavour with notes of chocolate. Made with beans supplied by the Distillery District’s Balzac’s Coffee, this porter offers a rich, full and unique flavour. Currently, there are no other coffee-flavoured beers in the Ontario market.

courtesy of tpd975. Pours dark brown with small beige head. Aroma of lactic coffee, malts, roast, some chocolate powder / cacao. Flavor, dark malts, grainy, coffee, light mocha mouthfeel with hints of chocolate. Has a nice roast, coffee finish with a touch a coffee bitetrness.

Pours brown/black. Nutty, coffee, roasted grain, bread, cocoa and some alcohol. Flavor is much the same as the nose with a medium body and much less coffee than expected. Finishes dry with residual bitter coffee notes.

341ml bottle thanks to cfrancis. Pours deep black with a big brown creamy head. Head retention is short. Some lacing. Aroma is coffee and roasted malt. Quite faint aroma overall. Taste is big coffee and chocolate. Malty also. Finish is dry chocolate. Taste is quite smoky also. Really good beer. some complexity but not much. Well balanced. Drinkable. Enjoyable !

Deep dark brown. Very light coloured head. Smells heavily of coffee, notes of hazelnuts, chocolate. Smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel with a good amount of carbonation. Id like to try the porter on its own without the coffee, thats all it really tastes like. Not that im complaining because im really enjoying this. Very well-crafted. Can only drink so many at a time though.
