Flavor and mouthfeel are a bit thin - bubbly, slightly sweet and sour. I don’t get any coffee flavor at all - unless you’re talking about some sort of mochafrappocapposugarymilkladenstarbuckscoffefrom hell sort of thing. hobbersr (412), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 19, 2008 Pours a deep black with red hues and has a medium sized tan head (about two fingers tall). Aroma is of coffee, a touch of dark chocolate and floral notes. Tastes of well, strong coffee with hints of chocolate, some root vegetable, some spice, and bitterness. Lightly carbonated and smooth mouth feel. Nice coffee porter. AWS9 (231), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 10, 2008 341 mL bottle. Pours a very dark brownish-black colour, with a thin mocha coloured lacing. Sweet coffee aroma with a hint of malt. Initial taste is a little thin, sweet malts. However, a delightful rich coffee taste kicks in the aftertaste. Maybe a little thin. Overall, this is dominated by coffee, but it is certainly a nice niche beer. Beershine (2754), Traipsing Around, Cambodia
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 2, 2008 Draught @ brewpub. Opaque brown with tan head. Mild coffee aroma with some rain-on-asphalt notes. Nice aroma. Low carbonation. Thins out in the finish. Too much coffee at the beginning. Sourness at the sides of the tongue and then no roasted malt backbone to support the coffee flavors. Lots of coffee, little porter. blipp (1735), Newark, New Jersey, USA

Perhaps even a little too much of it, but a great element nevertheless. Very roasted flavor overall. A little bit of sweetness could’ve made this beer even better. In any event, satisfying, recommended. hopson (595), Williamsville, New York, USA

Aroma was weak for the style and what the name suggests. Of course, there was coffee throughout. Pour was a nice deep dark brown with a thin near tan ring for a head. Taste was very full. Strong coffee with caramel malt in the front and a hint of bitterness in the aftertaste. Decent carbonation and mouthfeel. Nice.
