Commercial Description:
Our porter is rich and robust, dark brown in colour with a dark roasted coffee nose, imparting an intense coffee flavour with notes of chocolate. Made with beans supplied by the Distillery District’s Balzac’s Coffee, this porter offers a rich, full and unique flavour. Currently, there are no other coffee-flavoured beers in the Ontario market.

Via trade with matt7215. Thanks! A delicious porter. Aroma was weak for the style and what the name suggests. Of course, there was coffee throughout. Pour was a nice deep dark brown with a thin near tan ring for a head. Taste was very full. Strong coffee with caramel malt in the front and a hint of bitterness in the aftertaste. Decent carbonation and mouthfeel. Nice.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours black with a thick dark beige head. The aroma has pulses of coffee and anise. This has a subtle milky creaminess to it.

Bottle. Pitch black, small tan head. Typical roasted malt porter taste, with a sharp bitter coffee bonus. Smooth and very easy drinking, light bodied. Great stuff.

Dark brown color. Decent nose of coffee, with a hint of chocolate. Flavor is nicely balanced, with hints of coffee, and espresso roast. A nice ale.

12 oz. bottle - thanks to matt7215 for the trade; pours creamy brown with thin tan head; aromas are delicious - nutty, roasted coffee and slight bitterness; medium body and drinks silky smooth; flavors of chocolate and sweet coffee; very nice!!

Bottle from ’The Beer Store’ - Black as hell, huge frothy baileys colour head. Coffee and blackcurrent aroma, twinges of malt. Flavour: Mild espresso & chocolate with some pepper, not a heavy consistancy, in fact quite thin. It has a very short milky finish, not a bad little beer at all.
