Poured an inky dark black, near opaque with a nicely thick nearly brown head. Aroma was rich with a chocolatey sweet coffee. Hint of roast in the background. This is one of the better smelling coffee beers I’ve tried. Medium chocolate and roast flavors, medium to light body, with a distinct coffee flavor that leads into a cold coffee bitterness in the finish. Like many coffee beers, it lacks a certain depth and fullness. Medium to semi-dry finish. Trev (886), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA

Initial aroma is choc. though the coffee gradually asserts itself.
Flavour is nice porter profile, chocolate malt, slightly bitter coffee. Yum.

Quite watery mouthfeel, with some coffee and black malt, not as dry as European Ales, but poor for me. Kevin (1918), Colorado, USA

i keep expecting a dud from all the the beers harry sent down. i keep waiting. came in late threw some food in Chef Mic sat the beer out to get some temp, went into the room turned on the machine, checked some stuff in a few books, ate some diheartening food. cracked the beer. suddenly the world seemed a brighter place, there was good feelings flowing, everything is going to be o.k. dark brown black body with a lasting brown head. the aroma was not much coffee at first, but came out more as it warmed, but chocolate was evident from the get go. flavor was great, bitter coffee with some vanilla and a good dose of chocolate. coffee got stronger as drank this. nice and quenching, not thick, easy to frink. i like a nice beer like this that does not knock me out with a l t of alcohol. this is one i could drink a few of over a movie or a book. thanks for the beer harry. Lots of iced coffee flavor, roasted malt, and some chocolate, with a hint of raisin. Mouthfeel is a little to thin, but tasty flavor. Pours black with a roasted tan head. Not a lot of lacing. Aroma is dark chocolate, sweet coffee and roasted nuts. Flavour is malty with chocolate and a hint of raisin. Finishes with a light bitterness and more dark chocolate and nuts. Full bodied and medium-light feel. The first time I tried this beer I was not impressed but this time I found it very enjoyable. Nice beer. mnurda (434), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
