Nice deep red body, with a frothy tan head. The flavour was oddly stout-like, with hints of coffee and roasted malts. Medium bodied and smooth, with decent carbonation. This is definitely one of Mill Street’s better brews. GregClow (2499), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Burnt sienna colour (thanks to my wife for that description!) with a good sized dirty tan head. Nice aroma of mellow roasted malt, tobacco leaves, fresh bread and a bit of coffee. Medium bodied. Flavour is mellow as well, but nice, with toasted malt, some woodiness, a hint of smoke, and soft & pleasant hops. Quite nice stuff. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Dark brown, small tan head. Nice malty aroma, hint of smoke. Good taste - nutty, lots of malt, lots of roast, hint of smoke. A really solid brown ale - similar to Hockley but with lees hops and more flavour. Good stuff Mill St. HogTownHarry (4020), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada

Chocolate malt aroma with a sweet and milky rich quality. Clear, dark red body with a quick creamy white head. Tastes like bread soaked in chocolate mixed with a little booze. Creamy medium body. Aroma is sweetly malty, biscuity, but not without a certain amount of balancing woody hops. Very soft in the mouth - beautiful carbonation. Subdued English hopping in the flavour, as well as a twiggy bitterness near the very back of the palate that mingles with the faintest hint of citrus. Finishes with a caramel malt robustness. Slightly smoky as well. Overall, a soft, slightly spicy, earthy beer that makes it a perfect candidate for a growler, as it is superbly balanced and highly sessionable. This beer reminds me of a walk in the autumn woods. Good show. jerc (3947), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Moderately roasty aroma with a bit of a strange undertone that I can not put my finger on. Lightly nutty, mildly roasty flavour. Mild malt and appropriate bitterness. Average palate. Serviceable - not bad. DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada
