Commercial Description:
Bitters have been the common drink in English pubs for decades. Mill St ESB uses only traditional ingredients, Marris Otter malt and Fuggles and East Kent Goldings hops, all imported from England. With light malt and hops in the nose, this copper coloured ale gives rise to a malty body with hints of chocolate and black currents. The hoppiness is always present but never out of balance in this style.

On tap at the brewpub. The color is amber with a thin beige head. The taste is of hops with some sweetness of fruits. Some malt but not to much. It has a nice bitter finish.

On tap from the Mill Street Brewpub. Nice colors but not the intense aromas and flavors I was expecting.

Mill St Brewpub on tap - Nice amberish red colour, Bready malts with a beautiful earthy hop aroma and flavour. Love this beer, after having it on tap i purchased 2 growlers for the fridge at home.

Amber-red colour. Some caramel nose. Some breadcrust malts and herbal hops on the palate. Earthy, caramelly taste. Well-balanced with a slight herbal hop note. Earthy finish. Nice bitter.

at brewpub. Deep amber, clear, some head and scattered lacing. Diacetyl in nose. Caramel malts. Earthy English aromas. Earthy with wood and stone flavors. Quaffable. Sweetish. Not bad. Is quaffable. Imagine it would be very good if it were cask-conditioned.

Draught at Volo Caffe, Toronto. Pours an amber colour, with caramel, fruit, floral aroma. Similar flavours. I will look for this in a cask.

draft at brewery. Nicely done. earthy sharp hops dominate at first, and without a strong bitterness, keep on going as you drink the beer. Enjoyable.

on Cask at the brewpub. Unfiltered hazy pour. Rust coloured. Fruity scent with a touch of nuts. Odd mouth. Watery at first then a rush of flavour that reminded me of iced tea. Combination of nuts, spice, malts and bitterness. Rediculously easy to drink.
