AWS9 (221), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Sep 1, 2009 On tap at Mill Street Brew Pub. Pretty straight-forward lager appearance. Decent floral hop aroma. Some bitterness and prominent hops, with an interesting hoppy finish, perhaps a little boozy? Solid overall, though I don’t know how much of it I’d want to drink. Dickinsonbeer (3434), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Jul 21, 2009 15 oz pint at the brewpub. Pours a nice light golden with a thin head. Aroma is slight cleanser, white wine, and some acetaldehyde, also some ok pils bready malts and a light spicy hop. Flavor is ok moderate bready malts, slightoy burnt toast, and more cleanser and white wine solvent- maybe lines were just cleaned? Orange/gold in colour, head dissipating quickly. A bit sweet, malty. Bit of an alcohol aroma. Enjoyed it, have another Growler in the fridge for tomorrow! tomthompson89 (1459), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 28, 2008 had on tap at Cock and tail, nice color and lacing, odd flavor and finish very metalic???/ DerWeg (748), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 9, 2008 Updated: Aug 6, 2009Quaff at the pub. Respectably solid malty-feeling body, Aroma slightly yeasty a bit sweet-malty and there is a trace hops. A little spicy and fruity, warming alcohol, small bitter hop finish. Noticeable raw grainy or wort-like quality, and there’s not much complexity. A few gulps in this Bock is two-dimensional & not really differentiated from many MS beers. ** RE-RATE NOTES ** much more smoothed out with a fatter pale-malt fruity body, fine edge of bitter hops, and slight feel of alcohol, it’s been re-vamped and getting better. Beershine (2678), Hue, Vietnam Sep 18, 2008 Updated: Oct 2, 2008At brewpub. Clear red, off-white head, gorgeous lace. Liquid bread aromas. Some apples and strawberries. Clean, quaffable, low carbonation. Solid malts but and bread crusts eliminate sugars. Fruity, nice degree of complexity. Strength noticeable but has no offensive alcohol overtones. No harshness and very smooth. Good pocket of bockness. PaulHegedus (458), Georgetown, Ontario, Canada Sep 4, 2008 Draught at Mill Street Brewpub, June 2008. This one’s golden orange in the glass, with bready aromas, caramel. I taste caramel with interesting subtle grassiness.
