Commercial Description:
A pale (Helles in German, orange colour), strong German lager brewed with 100% Organic malt and hops. A great big white head gives way to a sweet maltly note which is quickly followed by the aroma of alcohol. A rich malty flavour with hints of current and oranges is found on the first sip. The hops have a gentle bitterness to balance the malt. The alcohol is not a dominate flavour, but you certainly feel it after a glass or two.

Draught. At Volo. Poured deep bright refractive copper with an average frothy head - very attractive. Aroma of roast hard candy malt with some sharp funky moss. Taste of caramel, malt, lots of grain, mild hop bitterness, a touch woody. Mouthfeel very dry, flat - overall a very drinkable fall ale, recommended.

bottle. thanks to DougShoemaker for hooking me up. cloudy copper-orange body with a medium short-lasting head. aroma consists of cookies and bread with a low hop presence. thick creamy body is largely of sweet caramel with a dusty kind of texture. Alcohol is nearly non-existent and is smooth and easy to drink. This is pretty well made.

Thanks to Greg Clow for the bottle. Nose is bready, some alcohol, light toffee, hops. Gold with a hint of red when held to a light. Some fruit, dusty malt, alcohol, bread. Way too easy to drink for a beer of this strength.

Amber beer with a white head. Strong cream corn and caramel aroma. Sweet malt with light lingering bitterness and nuts. Very sweet in finish. Oily mouthfeel. Thanks to Capflu.

Mill Street Bock Bottle: Poured a clear dark yellow beer with nice foamy head with average retention. Aroma consists mainly of strong malt with some floral notes also noticeable. Taste is quite creamy (with some banana) with some nice strong malt and some bitterness at the end. Overall, this is very enjoyable but not the greatest example of the style.

Pours gold amber with a thin white scummy head. Alcohol and cereal nose. Some Butterscotch or caramel lightly carried over. Lots of cereal and grain toasted flavours. Initial sharp hop dies off in the end. Still, it’s pretty refreshing and dry.

Malty aroma, average pale look with a small head and with lace. Hoppy, with a small bitter aftertaste.
