Smells like cherry Kool-aid, cloudy red/orange, zero head. Tastes like cherry Kool-aid, light bodied, not overly sour/sweet, or much of anything else. Poor. mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 29, 2007 [332-20070609] Tap @ Mill St. (Toronto, ON). Cherry fruit punch aroma. Very hazy, light red amber body with white bubbles instead of a head. Flavour is like a tangy fruit punch of cherry orange and hints of other citrus. Medium body is fairly smooth. Not very beer-like at all but nicely blended as it packs a sly alcohol punch. GregClow (2493), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 19, 2007 Draught pint at the brewpub. Distinct reddish tinge to the colour and a fairly still body with very little head. The aroma and flavour are both sweet, but not cloying, with a good balance of slightly fruity malt and fresh cherry. Mellow hops in the finish - enough to be briefly noticeable, but not enough to seriously interfere with the primary malt and cherry characteristics. Enjoyable, if somewhat uneventful. Radek Kliber (3912), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada Jun 7, 2007 On tap at Brewpub, sold as Cherry Fruit Beer
Appearance: colour of pomegranate juice, orange, copper-ruby overtones. Thick haze small bright ring on top.
Aroma: plain sweet, fruity juice like. Light hints of black tea, hints of tobacco (cherry pits?)
Medium bodied, sweet fruity character. Surprisingly juicy. Sticky, sweet cherry. Refreshing summer brew. A bit like fruit tea like. Cherry Fruit Beer suits this brew much more than Kriek listed previously.
jerc (3861), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 31, 2007 Hazy, amber body with a light pink hue throughout the body. Small white head. Sweet candyish cherry aroma. Flavour is dominated by cherry, very sweet with light malt undertones. Slightly more full than average palate. Decent, mainstream fruit beer. Definitely not a Kriek.
