Fairly mild lemon and grassy aromas. Nice taste with lemon prominent but tea to moderate so that not too sweet. Crisp finish. Decent summer beer especially for a beautiful Friday on a patio. Smells of green iced tea and sugar, maybe a hint of lemon grass; not all that beer-like. Tastes of mint and weak green tea, slightly lemony, not too sweet. Light body, quite crisp and refreshing, but a tad flat and what flavour there is fades way too quickly. Kinda boring. garthicus (1310), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Appearance: sweet malty , caramel like aroma, hint of candy. Nose: Light amber look with medium creamy top. Flavor/Palate : medium bodied with thinner finish. Straight sweet hints with some fruity character. This could be made much more drinkable.

Great taste - lemon and tea as advertised, but tea in a good way (i find many Ontario pale ales taste like tea ) - this tastes like a refreshing properly made unsweetened iced tea a bit. Very herbal. Very refreshing. A terrific unique creation and one of my highlights of the fest, although it divided opinion at our table. DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada

Faint tea nose, light amber, tiny white head. Flavour of strong tea, (I am a tea drinker) with the faintest trace of citrus. Light bodied, very dry finish. Good. VeloVampire (490), Parkdale, Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 17, 2009 Updated: May 23, 2009On tap at the brewpub - came a clear light amber with a sticky white cap. Aroma citrusy, fruit and some hops, which mingle nicely with the lemon. Flavour is very intriguing, and I was expecting the worst, but was pleasantly surprised. The malty full body of the black tea backs up the malt in the brew, and the acidity of the lemon complements the hop presence, so what at first seems like kind of a strange pairing is in fact a beautiful marriage. Delicate, near-cask carbonation, and silky body. Tannic bitterness from the tea also shine through in the finish. A surprising winner, and a wonderful candidate for a summer patio session ale.
