Draught at the brewpub. Pours a nice, clear amber-orange with a small lasting creamy off-white head. Aroma of pumpkin, spices and caramel malt. Slightly watery flavour follows the aroma but is a tad muted along with some mild vegetal notes. Average bodied. A good beer, just a bit dull, with more flavour this could be a knockout.

On-tap at the brewpub. Pours a thick looking orange, unfortunate that it was so freezing cold. The aroma is a bit of C-hop, but mostly ginger to me. Average mouthfeel, and above-average carbonation. Not as good when it warmed, a bit of pumpkin, corriander and a tad of white pepper, nutmeg. Not that drinkable. So-so for its style.

On tap at The Watermark. Appearance: Amber body with plenty of carbonation and a proud white head. Aroma: pumpkin and winter spices with a little hop and yeast. Flavour: initially pumpkin but the carbonation brings out a nice yeast & malt flavour. Some spices and a nice long dry finish. Lovely.

On tap at brewpub. Pours a fairly clear amber with moderate white head; ok retention. Nose is nice and robust with some pumpkin and lots of pumpkin pie spices - all-spice, nutmeg, ginger. Taste is bigger on the spices than the pumpkin. All in all good but not great.

[2530-20091013] Tap. A little grainy spice pumpkin fruit aroma, more as it warms. Clear, brown orange body with a medium-lasting creamy white head. Lovely pumpkin pie crust and allspice, a little gingery pepper and hints of fruits. Medium body. Lovely brew, quite surprising.

Draught. At the brewpub. Clear deep amber pour with a decent tan head (3+). Pungent fall/pumpkin pie spice aroma - even to graham crumbs and actual vegetal pumpkin. The taste is very pungent - dry spice, not so much real pumpkin flavour, mostly the spice - very peppery and gingery. Light mouthfeel, a bit acidic/astringent from the dry spice, but the filtering took a lot of the punch from this one, as the flavour slips away very quickly. Ultimately disappointing - give me Grand River, Weyerbacher or Southern Tier ANY day over this.

On tap at the brewpub - came a mostly clear foxy amber with a small white head that had clearly diminished in the two minutes between pouring and serving. Left some nice lace. Enticing aroma of soft spices, cinnamon and clove stood out, alongside sweet malt. Flavour is wonderfully balanced, with all aspects coming through at one point point - the spice is upfront, then quickly followed by a bit of vanilla and then the bready malts and wheat shine through. Lovely dry and biscuity finish that is very reminiscent of pie-crust. Never over the top, superbly drinkable, a sessionable pumpkin if there ever was one.

2009-10-13. Orange amber body with a modest beige head. 3+ Flavour is pleasant, mild sweet malt base, spices. Average plus bodied palate is nice but lightly carbonated. Would like just a bit more full bodied for my own tastes. 3+ Spices get a touch bitter at times, grows sharp briefly. Aroma is mild but pleasant, modest spice and muted malt. Pretty decent overall. On tap at the brewpub
