ORIGINAL RATING Sampled at brewery - yeast and light spice in the nose, noticeable grain flavor, smooth, malty, a touch sweet, a little sour and bitter at first impression but not bad at all. 7 3 7 4 12 = 3.3 blankboy (3207), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

(Listed as "MIll St. Oktoberfest Organic Lager") Pours a clear orange with a spare white head. Good lacing. Really fresh aroma of sweet malt, spices and a touch of hops. Flavour follows the aroma. Thin body. An interesting and above-average Lager but not a favourite of mine. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 11, 2005 draught. translucent orange-copper body with a frothy white head and sheet lacing. aroma is fruity cereal grain with prominent floral hops. body has a fruitiness to it with a sharp bitterness up front which leads into a somewhat bready malt finish. pretty nice. tupalev (2617), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Spicy and yeasty aroma, with some hops thrown in too. Really nice spicy/peppery taste, again with a liberal amount of hops (I thought the pepper was similar to the Helles Bock from last year). Medium to thin mouthfeel. Pretty tasty. Back of the throat pepper takes away from the overall semi-sweet taste and balance. A really nice effort that blew another Oktoberfest beer on tap out of the water. HogTownHarry (4006), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada

Poured deep clear orange with a small white head. Solid aroma of fresh orange zest hops, light roast malt to counter. Taste follows, but there were *lots* of hops, again the light roast malt, a touch of cereal grain, and some very mild spiciness - this has a longish hop-bitter finish, but pleasant, not harsh. Decent body, simple but spot-on character. Reading the earlier reviews I have to conclude they’ve changed this recipe significantly - I’d describe this as very much like a west coast US mild pale ale with more malt character. Quite pale and yeasty, with some depth of complexity, although perhaps not quite as much as I prefer. However, it is still a very good beer for the style. dirkules (613), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
