Commercial Description:
Formerly known as Sparkling Ale (6/05)
A golden export-style ale made from only malt and hops, no fillers or adjuncts. A brillant golden colour gives a “sparkling” appearance as the gas escapes from the glass. The natural sweetness of the malt is perfectly balanced by the bitterness derived from the hops. This beer represents the way blonde ales were made 100 years ago.

(Rating #1743)

6 pack from LCBO, tasted like water right after having a Tankhouse Ale. Had one the next day for a more fair rating. Similar to a macro Canadian ale, the only difference being clean malty aroma and flavour (no corn) and more than a hint of hop at the end. Also clean tasting and smooth, no harsh metallic taste. Much better than the macros.

On tap @ Mill St. Brewpub: Straw yellow with small dense head. Fruity, grassy pale-malt aroma. Tastes of grapes, peach and apple backed-up by some lemon. Not as skunky as clear bottle version. Not bad but sub-par to Mill St. standards.

Just terrible. Pours a almost transparent pale yellow. Watery, heavy grain and grass. Blech...

A true classic ale for the summer. I really enjoyed this one for making a random purchase of something new. Pours a clear yellow with a short head Bottled in a clear glass bottle with a great simple logo that reminded me of a Miller High Life. Nice malty taste with a sweet palate. A true summer beer although I found that each batch reveals something different.

A bit more punch than the organic lager, but not a ton. Its got some hop and a faint malt presence, but pretty much a bland smooth lager for the masses.

Clear golden poor with a white foamy head. Aromas of sweet corn and lightly hopped. Lightly effervescent and somewhat surprisingly creamy. Lightly sweet mouthfeel with a long lasting lite bitterness. Not bad.

On tap at the brewery. A standard beer. Not exceptional in any way. Was slightly better than the Organic Lager, but only because it tasted like SOMETHING.
