Well-hopped nose with roasted nuts and shades of caramel. Tastes sweet and malty up front. Roasted almonds, spice and grapefruit round it off. Well-balanced with a bitter finish. Brilliant. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA

Very unique hop profile, spicy, but with a very short clean finish. This makes it quite drinkable. Hops are certainly well established, but it has the body it back it up. Very well done. beerguyryan (4), kitchener, Ontario, Canada does not count | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 31, 2008 An amazingly different beer, you get different spices on the nose with a uniquely different flavour of malt and spice. Has a great hop to it with a short bitter finish. harrisoni (6946), Ashford, Kent, England

Lovely hoppy aroma with malt and strawberry thrown in. A most definite malt and hop flavour with a bitter-kiwi undertone. It has a slight dry and bitter finish. This is a fantastic beer considering its availability and price, approx CAD$12 for a sixer. beerbill (1977), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 6, 2008 341 ml bottle courtesy of my Secret Festivus. Pours a clear amber with a moderate off-white head that lasted until the end and coated the glass nicely. Pleasant aroma of malt with some pine, grapefruit and floral hops notes. The flavor is malt up front with the floral hops kicking in towards the finish. There is a light bitter flavor that emerges after the swallow that lingers for quite a while. Medium bodied. A solid ale. Lucremon (13), Nova Scotia, Canada

Spice follows in the taste along with sweet baked bread and a hint of cocoa. Very balanced - pleasantly surprised and have made one of my everyday beers.
