Commercial Description:
Like traditional pale ales, Tankhouse Ale has a deep copper-red colour. We use five different malts to produce a complex malty texture. The most dominant character of our Pale Ale is the hop. The spicy Cascades is used to give an assertive hop flavour, aroma and bitterness to our ale. The result is a satisfying and complex-tasting beer. Our brewmaster developed this recipe 20 years ago and it has remained his favorite drink of choice

Gorgeous pour: "deep copper red" as the brewery says but also has a thick head. Tantalizing hoppy nose and a balanced malty body. Slightly fizzy mouthfeel but nice balance. A brilliant session beer.

0.34 l bottle. Copper-amber color. Sweetish flowery and lemony aroma. Malty and hoppy flavor with catty-lemony hops and notes of salty minerals. Bittersweet finish. Good well made beer.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 29 Sep 2007) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity, slightly grainy nose with notes of dark fruit. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit and balanced amounts of citrussy hops in the finish. Nice balance. Hardly exciting, but still quite nice.
