Commercial Description:
Like traditional pale ales, Tankhouse Ale has a deep copper-red colour. We use five different malts to produce a complex malty texture. The most dominant character of our Pale Ale is the hop. The spicy Cascades is used to give an assertive hop flavour, aroma and bitterness to our ale. The result is a satisfying and complex-tasting beer. Our brewmaster developed this recipe 20 years ago and it has remained his favorite drink of choice

I’d like to have a deck the colour of this delicious ale. Hoppy maybe citrus like nose. Excellent mouth-feel.

Pretty much my staple beer here in the Ontario summer...nice hop bite, a bit more malt and less citrus than an ipa but great come home to after a hot day at work,

341mL bottle (Thanks, radiomgb!) Poured reddish amber with a moderate sized off-white head. Aroma shows some sweet malt, with a nice does of grapefruity hops. Flavor is well balanced; caramel malt is perfectly complimented by citric hops. Long, moderately bitter finish. Nice.

had a couple of these recently while up in the Great White North. a decent session brew with enough hops to make it interesting. it was certianly more to my liking than the LaBatt Blue I’d had earlier.

Bottle, RBESG. Amber colour. Nice aroma of nutty, piney hops. Fully flavoured with tea-like, piney hops. Fresh, bit bready with medium bitterness.

Bottle at home ... Thanks to Canadian Dan and his pall for this... Sharp malt fruits with a citrus tang to the nose ... hightly hop fruit for sucg a dark beer ... tad over fizzy ... Lots of juicy hop resins with a little drying graprefruit bitterness... Could do with some more malt character for my palate nonetheless a remarkably drinkable ale.

Bottled at RBESG ’07. Amber coloured. Pleasant hoppy aroma of grapefruit. Crisp, bready and light bodied, freshly hoppy and really enjoyable. Finishes with medium bitterness.
