| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 28, 2005 Pours copper with a little off white head. Nose of grapefruit, caramel and pine. Very crisp and clean with a good dose of hops. Lightly toasted malts and ample even hops throughout. As far as this beer goes it is a decent example. Previous samples didn’t do very much for me. Although not perfect, it shows that across the board that Mill Street is progressing very nicely in their ability to make solid beers. Originally I had given the beer a 2.4. beerbuzzmontreal (2921), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 16, 2005 Clear reddish copper pour, the head is thin and offwhite. While pouring the beer I could smell the superb piney and resinous hops. The flavor showcases the hops very well, nicely piney and resinous, there’s also a good dose of caramel malts to give some balance. Surprisingly the finish isn’t very bitter, which is ok for me since I prefer hops flavor over hops bitterness. The palate is clean and smooth with a light to medium body, a creamy and oily texture and moderate carbonation. A well done APA, interesting since I never like this brewery’s products so far.
