Commercial Description:
Like traditional pale ales, Tankhouse Ale has a deep copper-red colour. We use five different malts to produce a complex malty texture. The most dominant character of our Pale Ale is the hop. The spicy Cascades is used to give an assertive hop flavour, aroma and bitterness to our ale. The result is a satisfying and complex-tasting beer. Our brewmaster developed this recipe 20 years ago and it has remained his favorite drink of choice

341mL bottle from the LCBO. Pours orange with a white head, leaves plenty of lacing. Aroma of soapy, citrussy hops. Strong dry malt backbone, plenty of hops over top. Good mouthfeel. Tends to change a bit between batches, some times a bit hoppier than others.

I tried this beer on May 13, 2008 at the "Elephant and Castle" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer was poured a translucent reddish-brown colour with a half-inch creamy tan coloured head. The aroma was a combination or raosted malt, and hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, with mild carbonation. The flavour was all about the hops. A nice bitter citrusy tang and a very good beer.

This is a really good beer and underrated in my opinion. Pours a nice amber color with a small head. The aromas of malt, hops and maybe even a hint of whiskey. fFlavor is creamy and malty with a nice hop balance. Very drinkable and super smooth. Reminds me of a Sam Adams Boston Lager, but a bit smoother and less harsh.

a fine brew. Nothing elaborate just a well rounded easy drinking flavourful ale. coppery brown colour with decent white head. good malty nose and flavour which is not overly complex but still quite satisfying. A very nice ale

Bottle. Copper with cream head. Mostly Hops and slight citrus and grassy flavour/smell. Moderately bitter, but not overpowering. Would drink again.

Tasted 4/15/08. 12oz bottle. Filtered with an amber hue. Ring of medium bubbled off-white head. Nice hop nose. Caramel citrus and grapey. Nice! Light to medium bodied with a really nice flavor. Mild effervescence. Crisp body with dry hop palate. Mild bitterness. Good fun session!
