Commercial Description:
Like traditional pale ales, Tankhouse Ale has a deep copper-red colour. We use five different malts to produce a complex malty texture. The most dominant character of our Pale Ale is the hop. The spicy Cascades is used to give an assertive hop flavour, aroma and bitterness to our ale. The result is a satisfying and complex-tasting beer. Our brewmaster developed this recipe 20 years ago and it has remained his favorite drink of choice

A hazy dark orange beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is sweet hoppy combined with notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty and well hoppy, combined with notes of caramel, leading to a dry hoppy and bitter end.

Bottled at RBESG ’07. Amber coloured. Pleasant hoppy aroma of grapefruit. Crisp, bready and light bodied, freshly hoppy and really enjoyable. Finishes with medium bitterness.

Bottled. Rubyish amber colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is a lot of fruits slong with breadyness and grass. Flavour is fruity, grassy slightly earthy and also has some flowery hops.

Orange-tinged dark amber; aroma shows rich fruity hoppiness (cherry, plum), plus woody notes, and lightly smokey crystal malts. Nicely balanced beer...grapefruit, wood, chewy earthiness. The crystal almost gets out of hand, but not quite. Fresh-tasting, with a lingering bitterness. Not as bombastic as Alpha King, nor as straightforward as SNPA, this is a fairly unique rendition of the style.

Beautiful red-amber color. Too cold, but then some nice caramel and hop aroma, comes out, a bit fruity and resiny. The body is a bit harsh, almost dry, even if not strong enough, with some caramel flavor and a good hopping. Not bad, but also not convincing.

Amber color. Balanced Amber Ale, with a good caramel character, quite bitter, malty, roasted touch.

Bottle at HogTownHarry Fest 08. Chestnut colour with lychee and dusty hop aroma. Thin bubbly beige head. Pretty nice, good grapefruit, lychee. Good malts. Caramel nuts. Duff says "it’s a bit like a Snickers bar." Pretty good. I liked it. Really sessionable beer.
