Bottle@Home. At first I thought it was a tough one, but I guess I had to get used to it. Aroma and flavor and sweet & sour apples with yeasty notes. Starts sour, almost lambic like, but immediately gets quite neutal. After a few ciders I’m starting to think it’s not my thing now.

London Gathering Nov 05: Apple and petrol (fuel) aroma. Strong apple flavour. Not the best.

Bottle at the London gathering, November 2005, bought from Queens Park Farmers market. The producer is primarily a fruit farm but makes a bit of cider too and sells it at farmers markets, which I approve of. Unfortunately, I didn’t think this cider was particularly good. Very pale, cloudy, straw colour. Lots of apple juice character and not much farmyard. Plus a rather dodgy rubbery, cosmetic aroma. Keep trying.

Bottle. Dry appleskin acidity in aroma. Sweet apples in the start and a dry appleskin acidity towards the finish. A slight stemmy, green character is also present, especially in the finish.

Bottle @ London Gatherying, Nov 05. Sweet nutty apples. The bosdy was sweet in a juicy sort of way with no aggresive punch to balance.

Bottled at the Chris_O Beer, Cheese and Curry powwow. A light green still looking cider with the odd floatie. The taste is apple pulp and apple core. The taste is pulpy sweet apples with the pips, core and all. Lots of tannin. Rough and not the best cider.

Bottle at Chris’. Typical medium dry cider, fruity (of course) with a little funk and some smoke. I liked it, but not too much.

Bottle at London Gathering Nov 2005. More or less my first cider rating and difficult to learn a whole new language of tastes. Green/gold hazy cider with no head. Bit plasticy nose and some apple. Goodish apple in mouth with some good sourness. Fine.
