couchand (182), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Apr 25, 2009 It is a cloudy deep dark brown with some tan head. The aroma is lightly sweet and strongly fruity of raspberries and mango, with just a bit of banana. The flavor is strongly alcoholic: somewhat sharp, almost medicinal berries. There is a bit of lingering bitterness and a thick, cloying sensation. GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Mar 5, 2009 Draft at Millstream Beer & Chocolate tasting event. Poured an opaque dark brown color, nearly black. The head was ample and had a lovey orange-brown hue. Smelled of subdued clove, fig, and a bit of cereal grain. Full bodied and delicately sweet with a warming alcohol effect. Carbonation was on the the lower end of the spectrum. The flavor profile included the likes of fig, plum, clove, and molasses. Nice beer.
