Opaque black color with thick tan head that settled into a thin foamy cap that hung in there for a while. Aroma is roasty coffee with a hint of chocolate, light brown sugar, and occasional anise. Medium bodied with a delicate, almost imperceptible sweetness throughout, and a light roasty bitterness at the end. Flavor is a little one dimensional, mostly weak coffee. Looks great and has a pleasant aroma, but it didn’t exactly dazzle my taste buds. SubstanceT (1090), Saint Louis, Missouri, USA

Nose is malty with some chalk and a hint of roastedness. Taste iwth lots of malts and roasted coffee. No real alcohol but a thin film of smoke. Frank (1071), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Maybe I’m just nuts. Nice brown color w/ a wee bit of head and a small spot of lace. Pretty basic mild stout flavor w/ some subtle smoky notes. A slight medicinal edge detracts from overall impression but this is definitely one of Millstreams better efforts. ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 10, 2006 Roasted chocolate malt with some lactose. Almost fully opaque. Not bad. Very light, otherwise very nice flavor. Definite oatmeal. Just doesn’t have much to keep the palate interested. Not bad at all. Dark in color with a nice tan head. It has a complex oatmeal/coffee taste, but in the end it was just a little too heavy for me. But if you like a good dark beer, you’ll like this oatmeal stout! holdenn (1446), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 6, 2006 12 oz bottle pours milk chocolate in color with a tan head. Bready, chocolate, coffee, roasted, and oat aromas make up the nose as well as the flavor. Although it could be a little thicker bodied, its very smooth and sweet with the slightest hint of hop bitterness. Illini08 (528), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA

Nice looking black pour with a cream colored head. Aromas weren’t too strong, but it had a good sweet malty aroma and flavor. A bit thin, but overall an easy drinking, good beer. joshwilfong (797), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
