Commercial Description:
A thick tan head stands atop a clear brown beer. Aromas of plum dominate the glass, with subtle bitterness supporting the large body. This beer is a blend of two and three year old batches. Beware the alcohol, as it hides within the myriad of flavors to warm the throat at the end of the taste.

Blended from two-year and three-year batches, the barleywine poured a deep dark sienna, lightly hazy, with persistent creamy head. It also leaves a little reminder on the inside of the glass. The rich, round aroma is a treat: chocolate caramels (so good), coffee, and hazelnuts. Despite the intensity of the aroma and alcohol, the flavor is light and balanced. Major coffee flavor dominates, with a roast and caramel malt character that reminds me of burnt cookies. Both malty and pleasantly bitter, “Awesomeness” is thick and coats your mouth.

Draft at Millstream Beer & Chocolate tasting event. Poured an opaque dark brown color with a light brown head. Pleasant aromas of black cherry, raisin, and subdued molasses. Full bodied and delicately sweet with alcohol warmth and flavor. I tasted toffee, raisin, light molasses, and fig.
