Pours a cloudy light yellow with white head. Aroma of some banana, orange, wheat. Flavor much the same, seemed a little yeasty "bread" but I like that. Mouth feel is a soft, light body with medium-high carbonation. Overall, I thought it was a decent hefe... fidelis83 (729), Clinton, Iowa, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 23, 2009 Bottle labeled Hefe"R"weissen, I am guessing htis is the same beer though. Pours milky honey gold with a 2 finger creamy off white head that has great retention and leaves sparse lacing. Aroma is lots of wheat, lemon, clove, bubblegum, banana, light yeasty bread dough and just a hint of grainy malt. Flavor is wheat, lemon, clove, light dried grain, some grass, a little banana, some light bready yeast notes and some nice crisp mineral notes. Finish is banana, spice, a little bubblegum and wet limestone. Palate is light to medium body with a slightly chalky feel throughout. This is actually a pretty good hefe, better than I remembered it being. Great summer brew, not as clinging to the palate as many hefes are. Dogbrick (2903), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 14, 2009 Sample at the Millstream Brewhaus in Eastern Iowa airport. The beer is a hazy yellow-gold color with a medium thin bone white head that dissipates steadily. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of bananas and wheat. Light and clean body with flavors of wheat, banana and mild spices. The finish is wheaty with a mild fruit aftertaste. Run-of-the-mill Hefe overall.
